{"id":13637,"date":"2022-07-11T20:27:20","date_gmt":"2022-07-11T20:27:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/autel.com\/us\/?p=13637"},"modified":"2022-07-20T21:18:00","modified_gmt":"2022-07-20T21:18:00","slug":"what-should-i-do-if-i-see-an-authorization-error","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/autel.com\/us\/what-should-i-do-if-i-see-an-authorization-error\/","title":{"rendered":"What should I do if I see an &#8220;Authorization&#8221; error?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>A)\u00a0Error Message &#8220;Software is not authorized!&#8221;<\/strong>\u2028\u2028\u2028<\/p>\n<p>Issue: Whichever software is tapped, you will see this pop-up window with the error message.<\/p>\n<p>\u2028Solution:<\/p>\n<p>\u2028Go to ES File Explorer&#8211;Scan folder, check if there is file \u201cauthorization.txt\u201d;\u2028Go to ES File Explorer&#8211;Scan\u2014Vehicle, get access to each vehicle folder, check if the file \u201cauthorization.txt\u201d is available;\u2028If the \u201cauthorization.txt\u201d file is missing in Scan folder, but exists in all other vehicle folders, please try\u2028connect the tablet to computer via USB cable;\u2028turn on USB storage ;\u2028disconnect USB cable;\u2028tap Diagnostics, select any software to check again.\u2028If the above method is not working, you need to renew subscription and download all software again.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u2028\u2028\u2028B) &#8220;Authorization Check Failed! Error Code: 1&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2028\u2028\u2028Issue 1: The error message above camp up when you tap specific software, for example, Mini, on the Diagnostic menu;\u2028\u2028\u2028<\/p>\n<p>Solution:\u2028<\/p>\n<p>Go to ES File Explorer\u2014Scan\u2014Vehicle, access to the corresponding vehicle folder, for example, Mini, check if the file\u201dauthorization.txt\u201d is available there?\u2028If not, please copy an \u201cauthorization.txt\u201d file from vehicle folders, BMW, Rolls-Royce and AstonMartin (they must be from the same software pack when you download them) to Mini folder;<\/p>\n<p>\u2028*Note:\u2028BMW, Mini, Rolls-Royce and Aston Martin software are from the same software pack when we downloaded them in Update list;\u2028\u201cauthorization.txt\u201d file from other vehicle folders rather than BMW, Rolls-Royce and Aston Martin will not be working;\u2028Check if Mini software is back to normal?\u2028If still not working, you need to renew subscription and download the software again.\u2028\u2028\u2028Issue 2:The error message above camp up when you tap whichever software on the Diagnostic menu\u2028\u2028\u2028Solution:\u2028Go to ES File Explorer\u2014Scan\u2014Vehicle, access to the corresponding vehicle folders, check if the file \u201cauthorizatuion.txt\u201d is available in each folder?\u2028If not, the only solution is to renew subscription and download all software again.<\/p>\n<p>\u2028\u2028\u2028<strong>C) &#8220;Authorization Check Failed! Error Code: 2&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u2028\u2028\u2028Issue 1: &#8220;Authorization Check Failed! Error Code: 2\u201d indicates Serial Number and Register Password are not matched.<\/p>\n<p>\u2028\u2028\u2028If the device is still in valid subscription,\u2028Go to MaxiSys-Data manager-Apps Uninstall to uninstall all apps;\u2028Run Update and download them back again.\u2028If the device is out of subscription,\u2028Please go to Settings\u2014About, send the screenshot this page to our tech support to show them Serial Number and Register password of your device;\u2028Collect Logs via MaxiTools and upload.<\/p>\n<p>\u2028\u2028\u2028Issue 2: If you saw Error code 2: Serial or password is incorrect, and when you went to About section but found your serial number becameV09G00000131and register password became056947, please follow the below steps:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"margin-top:10px;\">\n<li>\u2028\u2028\u2028Turn this tool OFF and wait for 2 minutes, then turn it ON again;\u2028<\/li>\n<p>\u2028\u2028\u2028<\/p>\n<li>\u2028\u2028\u2028Repeat the above steps for 5 times (at least) and check the serial number on About page again;<\/li>\n<li>\u2028If it still shows S\/N V09G00000131 and password 056947, contact the selling dealer for repairs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>\u2028\u2028\u2028D) &#8220;Authorization Check Failed!
